If you wish to extent your disk but have a recovery partition at the end of existing disk, you will be unable to extend your disk to extended part
Run CMD as administrator and type: diskpart
diskpart Microsoft DiskPart version 10.0.22621.1 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. On computer: WIN11ADMIN-04 DISKPART>
Run list disk to have list of all available disks
DISKPART> list disk Disk ### Status Size Free Dyn Gpt -------- ------------- ------- ------- --- --- Disk 0 Online 80 GB 1024 KB * Disk 1 Online 48 GB 0 B *
Run the select disk X command to select the disk where the recovery partition is located
DISKPART> select disk 0 Disk 0 is now the selected disk.
Run the list part to list available partitions
DISKPART> list part Partition ### Type Size Offset ------------- ---------------- ------- ------- Partition 1 System 100 MB 1024 KB Partition 2 Reserved 16 MB 101 MB Partition 3 Primary 79 GB 117 MB Partition 4 Recovery 620 MB 79 GB
Run the **select part X** to select the Recovery partion <cli>DISKPART> select part 4
Partition 4 is now the selected partition.</cli> Now that the partition is selcted, run the delete part override command to delete that partition
DISKPART> delete part override DiskPart successfully deleted the selected partition.
Now that the partition is deleted, you will be able to use the allocated space and increase disk size
Follow then this procedure to recreate your Recovery partition
